Where: Wachovia Center Parking Lot D West, 3601 S. Broad Street (8:30 a.m.), and the Fire Administration Building (FAB), 240 Spring Garden Street (10:30 a.m.)

The Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management (OEM) hosts the City’s first Emergency Response Capabilities Tour. Health, emergency management and public information officials from the surrounding counties as well as medical officials from various hospitals and medical response agencies in the region will participate in an all-day tour of Philadelphia’s emergency response facilities. Stops on the tour include Philadelphia’s 9-1-1 Call Center, the Police and Fire Dispatch Centers, Hazardous Materials and Mass Casualty Response Vehicles, the Medical Examiner’s Office as well as the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

Media availability will be permitted during the tour at the Wachovia Center Parking Lot where the tour begins with OEM’s Command Post 1 vehicle, the Fire Department’s Hazardous Materials Unit and Emergency Medical Services apparatus displaying their emergency equipment. The second media availability will be during the tour of the Fire Communications Center and the EOC.
