PHILADELPHIA, PA – In an effort to promote voter education and participation in the 2009 primary election, the Mayor’s Commission on Asian American Affairs and the Asian Pacific Americans for Progress (Philadelphia Chapter) will host a forum of the District Attorney candidates.
The forum will take place on Sunday, May 10, 2009 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm. It will be held at the Heritage Community Center on 5858 Castor Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19149.
Candidates Brian Grady (D), Dan McCaffery (D), Dan McElhatton (D), Michael Turner (D), Seth Williams (D), and Michael Untermeyer (R) will be present at a moderated panel session followed by a Q&A session. Voters will have a chance to meet and address the candidates.
This forum is the second event to engage Asian American voters leading up to the primary election on May 19th. This forum is hosted by Mayor’s Commission on Asian American Affairs, and co-sponsored by Asian Pacific Americans for Progress (Philadelphia Chapter).
