WHO: Mayor Michael A. Nutter

WHAT: Mayor Nutter will share details related to the thousands of Philadelphians who have found jobs through the new Way to Work Philadelphia initiative, launched on May 19. He will tour the facility of an organization that has hired workers through this program and meet with Philadelphians who have found work.

The Mayor will also announce that despite the fact that thousands of Philadelphians have already been placed, there are still many job opportunities waiting to be filled. He will let jobseekers know how they can still get involved in this program and get back to work thanks to this stimulus-funded opportunity.

10:45-11:00am – Mayor Nutter will tour the organization and meet with employees

11:00am – Mayor Nutter, the employer, and an employee who was hired under the Way to Work Philadelphia program will speak to the press and answer questions.
