Philadelphia, March 28, 2013–  The City of Philadelphia’s Department of Revenue has extended the due date for FY13 Real Estate Tax payment to Monday, April 1, 2013 because the City is closed on Friday, March 29 and March 31, the original due date, falls on a Sunday.  All payments received in person or post-marked by April 1 will be accepted as on time.


“We want to ensure that every citizen has the opportunity to pay their taxes on time,” said Revenue Commissioner Keith J. Richardson.  “By extending the deadline to Monday and offering multiple payment methods, we are providing taxpayers with the chance to meet our deadline.”


Payments will be accepted in person at the Municipal Services Building or Department of Revenue satellite locations:


  • Hope Plaza, 2761 N. 22nd Street; and
  • Northeast Municipal Services Center, 9239 Roosevelt Boulevard (rear entrance).
