Mayor Nutter, Philadelphia Water Department to Celebrate New Biogas Cogeneration Facility

WHAT:      Mayor Nutter and the Philadelphia Water Department will celebrate the new Biogas Cogeneration Facility.  This waste biogas-to-energy facility will generate electricity and thermal energy for on-site use and will reduce carbon emissions by 22,000 tons per year, which is equivalent to 4,833 cars off the road or 2.84 million gallons of gasoline.
