CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, SCHOOL DISTRICT OF PHILAELPHIA, POLICYLAB AT THE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL OF PHILADELPHIA TO RELEASE REPORT ON EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES FOR STUDENTS INVOVLED WITH DHS

WHAT:          The City of Philadelphia, the School District of Philadelphia and PolicyLab at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia will release a new report on the educational outcomes for public school students involved with the Department of Human Services (DHS).  The report, called Supporting the Needs of Students Involved with the Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice System in the School District of Philadelphia, examines the challenges faced by these students and highlights opportunities to align resources to better meet the needs of these students.  In addition to releasing the report, the School District of Philadelphia, DHS and Mayor’s Office of Education will announce an action plan to increase the educational successes of youth served by DHS.
