Mayor Nutter, Superintendent Hite, Trust for Public Land to cut ribbon on greened schoolyard

WHAT:          Mayor Michael A. Nutter, Superintendent Hite and City officials will participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new greened schoolyard at William Dick Elementary school.  Officials will also announce that construction to green the Hank Gathers Recreation Center, located nearby, will begin this summer.


Both projects are part of Philadelphia’s Green2015 initiative, Mayor Nutter’s comprehensive plan to increase significantly outdoor recreational opportunities and green infrastructure throughout the city.
