Philadelphia, December 23, 2014 – Mayor Michael A. Nutter announced that the City of Philadelphia has posted all members of Boards and Commissions with Mayoral appointments on the City’s website: www.phila.gov/mayor. The site, which will be updated quarterly, encourages individuals interested in serving on a board or commission to submit their resume and cover letter.
“Transparency is critical to ensuring that our city functions efficiently and with integrity,” said Mayor Nutter. “Our boards and commissions play a significant role in determining policy and enforcing the rules and regulations of Philadelphia. I am very thankful that so many Philadelphians engage in public service, and I’m hopeful that more talented and qualified citizens will apply for appointment consideration bringing their new ideas and innovations to City government.”
The website also provides additional information on boards and commissions with Mayoral appointments, including membership, restrictions, financial filing requirements, meeting frequency and time, term length and contact persons, as available.
Individuals interested in applying for a vacancy on a board or commission should provide their resume and cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org.
