Philadelphia, January 5, 2015 –  The City of Philadelphia and Forbes announced that Philadelphia will host the second annual Forbes Under 30 Summit, which will be held October 4-7, 2015.  The Summit is expected to bring together more than 2,000 young entrepreneurs and game-changers through a full agenda of events, including panel discussions, keynotes, the Under 30 Food Festival and the $400,000 Pressure Cooker contest.  The Summit will kick-off with the Under 30 Music Festival, a free concert for those who do good for the world.

“Philadelphia is thrilled to welcome the Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit back to our great city for another innovative and game-changing gathering of the nation’s most influential young people,” said Mayor Michael A. Nutter.  “In its inaugural year, Forbes crafted an agenda that capitalized on Philly’s great assets and connected Millennials with local schools, our thriving innovative entrepreneur scene and highlighted various aspects of our City. In its second year, I am looking forward to the Summit’s growth and expansion.  We are proud to that Forbes has found a home in Philadelphia.”

Randall Lane, Editor of Forbes magazine added, “Following the success of last year, we look forward to cementing the Under 30 Summit as the world’s preeminent event for young entrepreneurs and innovators.  The Summit will help chart the world’s course over the next half-century.”

In its second year, the Under 30 Summit will expand to include a full day of service on the final day of the Summit during which 100 Summit participants will speak at Philadelphia schools and other participants will tour local non-profits, healthcare innovators and technology incubators with the goal of spurring collaboration.

Forbes’ Under 30 Summit is an extension of Forbes magazine’s annual “30 Under 30” list, which features 30 game-changing entrepreneurs under 30, in 20 categories, admitted by a panel of expert judges in their respective field.  Attendees of the summit will be culled mostly from the past four years of this list, which has become one of the magazine’s most popular franchises.  The fourth annual “30 Under 30” list launches on Jan. 5th.  To access Forbes magazine’s 2015 “30 Under 30” list, please visit
