Philadelphia, January 30, 2015 – Mayor Michael A. Nutter released the City of Philadelphia Priorities & Accomplishments Report Update highlighting accomplishments since 2008 with an emphasis on priorities achieved in the past year. On the report update, Mayor Nutter issued the following statement:
“During the past seven years, I have had the great privilege to serve the citizens of Philadelphia and to work with the most committed and talented public servants in the United States. I am proud to report that many of the goals we set out at the beginning of our Administration have been accomplished. Collectively, we worked to improve public safety; enhance educational opportunities and outcomes; support economic vitality; advance health and well-being; move Philadelphia toward becoming the greenest city in America; act as an efficient steward of public resources; and lead with the highest standards of ethics and transparency. This report highlights the incredible progress Philadelphia has made through the dedication of our hardworking City employees, our actively engaged City Council and the many partnerships that have been developed with community stakeholders, state and Federal elected officials, and the philanthropic, business, and nonprofit sectors.
“This report does not reflect all the work accomplished or left to do in our City, but it is a snapshot of how far we have come to make our great city a safe, healthy, greener, and more inclusive community with a high quality of life for our citizens, residents, and visitors. I look forward to continuing to work together with all of our citizens and stakeholder partners to accomplish great things for Philadelphia.”
